Temporary Library

A small temporary library is available to the public on the ground floor.

The temporary library contains new fiction and nonfiction books, paperbacks, DVD’s,

videos, music CD’s, newspapers and

business resources  as well as current

magazines and a selection of our large print, audio book, reference, teen and children’s

collections.

There are two computers for searching the catalog.  Because of the limited space there is no seating available and no public computers.

How to Access the Temporary Library

To come to the temporary library, use

the usual parking lot on the west side of the Town Hall/Library complex. Space may be limited at times by construction equipment.  From the parking lot enter through the Town Hall entrance, take the elevator or stairs to

the lower level, and continue through the

connector into the Library meeting room.

Interlibrary Loan

Approximately 80% of the adult collection

is in storage until the Library is fully reopened in the spring of 2007.  If you need a book that is unavailable, we will try to borrow that title for you from another library.  You may

request an inter-library loan in person at the temporary library, by phone, or via the

website at www.wethersfieldlibrary.org/illform.htm

Programs

Programs will continue without interruption and will be held at various locations including Town Hall, the Community Center at 30 Greenfield Street and the Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center at 156 Prospect Street.

Look for flyers, announcements in local newspapers, and updated information on the Library’s website www.wethersfieldlibrary.org for exact times and locations for your program.

Book Returns

There are three book drops at the Town Hall entrance. They have a smaller capacity than our old book drop.  Whenever

possible, we would appreciate that items be brought inside to the temporary library or be returned at other public libraries. You can

return anything you borrow from us to any Connecticut public library and it will

be delivered back to us.

However, as always, if you borrow an item by interlibrary loan it needs to be returned to the Wethersfield Library.
