The Friends of the Wethersfield Library put together another beautiful gift basket that was raffled off on Monday Dec 2. It was the most successful raffle the Friends have had so far! We are happy to report that all 299 tickets were sold which resulted in a total of $1495 for library funding!

The star of the raffle basket was a gorgeous handmade art quilt. In addition there was a variety of gift cards which will come in handy for holiday shopping.

The lucky winner was Deb R – congratulations to her! A junior library patron, Paislee S. and her Mom helped out by drawing the winning ticket.

A big thank-you to all the folks who generously supported this effort by purchasing tickets. All proceeds go to support the programs and furnishings at the library.

The weather certainly cooperated for this year’s fall book sale on Nov 2 and 3 – sunny, dry and delightfully warm! Lots of folks stopped in to stock up on books, puzzles and CD’s. The selection was impressive as there were subjects for all interests. We are happy to report that over $6625 was raised from the sale. We want to thank everyone who supported this fund-raising event by purchasing books. All proceeds go toward funding various programs and library events. Enjoy your reading!

We had another successful book sale on April 27th and 28th! There was a great turnout – lots of folks found lots of books at great prices. We are pleased to announce that more than $7000 was raised at the sale! All the proceeds will be used to fund library programs and events. We have a winner!! The drawing for the Cooler of Summer Fun raffle occurred on Monday April 8, 2024. The cooler was stuffed full of great gifts for the summer.

There was a great turnout for the January 2024 sale! Puzzles are always popular, and folks love to spend time doing them especially on those cold winter days – brrrr! There were lots of puzzles and games available and all at very reasonable prices.

More than $1400 was raised which will help fund upcoming library events and programs! The Friends want to thank all those that donated the puzzles and all the folks who supported the sale by purchasing puzzles and games. Thank you all!!

After months of anticipation, the drawing for the 3 beautiful baskets, which had been on display for months, finally occurred on Friday – December 1st!  There were 3 baskets stuffed with all sorts of goodies:

The Friends of the Wethersfield Library Fall Book Sale returned this year, and what a success it was! Over $7600 was raised during a public sale on Saturday, November 4th and Sunday, November 5th. There was a huge selection of books, CDs, and audiobooks in many different categories for children, teens, and adults.

The Friends of the Wethersfield Library organize and run a variety of book sales, raffles, and other fundraising events to support and fund Library programs, museum passes, and events. We thank all Wethersfield residents who have donated items. We could not have done it without your support!

Everyone loves puzzles! In February the Friends of the Wethersfield Library held a pop-up puzzle sale. It was so successful that nearly all the puzzles sold out in just one day! The proceeds will go toward sponsoring Library programs and activities. We want to thank the community for donating so many of these puzzles. Without your help we could not have done it!

Another pop-up sale, this time for children’s books, was held in June. The proceeds made on this sale will help finance Library programs and events for the community. Thank you for your support!
